Life changes in a heartbeat and the 300,000 patients treated in our Emergency Departments each year are well aware of this reality. With numerous centers of excellence in patient care, research and education, the North Shore-LIJ Health System offers a choice of 15 state-of-the-art facilities comprised of Level I adult and pediatric trauma centers and several Level II community hospitals, including 911 receiving centers and heart care stations. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will experience the camaraderie that comprises the foundation of our health system, working with multiple disciplines and departments in a shared effort to move patients through the emergency care process quickly and precisely.
