Generous Time-Off and Holidays

Team members who achieve their weight loss goals receive 100 percent reimbursement for completing the WeightWatchers At Work® program, and receive special discount pricing on other services. Physical Activity/Discounted Gym Memberships
North Shore-LIJ recently introduced its new fitness facility: Vivo Health Fitness at ProHEALTH. The facility offers wellness resources and programs that team members and their families may take advantage of at a deeply discounted employee rate. Personal Health Record and Health Risk Assessment
Team members can keep track of their healthcare information in an easy-to-use online format, with tools for prescriptions, claims and medical conditions. This tool is provided by an independent third-party wellness organization, ensuring that personal information is kept strictly confidential.
Smoking Cessation/Center for Tobacco Control
The health system's renowned Center for Tobacco Control (CTC) provides state-of-the-art tobacco prevention education, cessation services and clinical research. Team members are eligible for free, customized programs to help them quit smoking, as well as free over-the-counter and prescription quit medications.
On-site Employee Health and Wellness Center
North Shore-LIJ manages the occupational healthcare needs of all team members, promoting and protecting your health. Many services are offered to help employees get what they need on-site, eliminating the need to go to a doctor's office, thus promoting a better work/life balance. Services include:

Employee Assistance Program
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free resource to help team members and their families maintain a healthy lifestyle both at work and at home. The EAP helps with a wide-range of concerns – from emotional and behavioral issues, to health problems, family conflicts and job concerns. The EAP responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to team members both virtually and on-site/in-person, which is what makes the EAP so unique.
