Description:
The Talent Acquisition Manager counsels and coaches a team of professionals that are responsible for hiring the talented individuals who help us transform care for our patients and the community. You will conduct and manage full-cycle executive recruiting, hiring and other staffing needs. You will have the opportunity to lead the development of creative and cost effective sourcing strategies within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Implements and coordinates system-wide sourcing strategies, recruitment and retention activities and advertising.
Hires, trains and supervises the Talent Acquisition team members.
Manages team member assignments and provides guidance in the development of sourcing plans and strategies as well as the handling of adverse background checks.
Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with business partners and hiring managers to provide service excellence and staffing expertise.
Source qualified executive level candidates to meet customer requirements by implementing extensive searching, networking, and screening techniques.
Pre-screen, interview, and manage full cycle recruiting process and maintain resume database and candidate for area(s) of focus.
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to identify internal drivers around retention issues.
Ensure North Shore-LIJ delivers consistent corporate brand as designed by Talent Acquisition Strategy.
Coordinate with advertising agency to manage advertising and position posting needs.
Leverage online recruiting resources and in-house Applicant Tracking System to identify and recruit the very best candidates.
Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices
Provide project management design and expertise.
Oversee special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required,.
Masters Degree preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of recruiting experience required; executive recruiting experience, preferred.
Three (3) years of leadership experience managing recruitment staff.
Behavioral Interviewing certificate, preferred.
PHR certification, preferred.
Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred
Excellent project management, writing, oral and negotiation skills required.
Fully proficient on personnel policy and procedure, JCAHO, and federal and New York state laws regarding employment practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, PeopleSoft, and applicant tracking experience preferred.
