Our Services

North Shore-LIJ Our Service

One way we show our commitment to the military is through the services we offer to our veteran community. We think it's important to provide support and serve veterans and their families who have given so much to our country. We highlight below a few of the services we provide to veterans.

Office of Military and Veterans’ Liaison Services
It is a priority of the health system to help support and care for our service members, veterans and their families in the New York metropolitan area.

To meet this commitment, the Office of Military and Veterans’ Liaison Services was created to serve as a health and wellness resource. In an effort to recognize those who served, we've also created the following initiatives:

The Rosen Family Wellness Center

Veteran College Network (VCN)
Veteran college admissions continue to increase as a result of the Post 9/11 GI-Bill. School campuses are charged with answering the question, “How can we prepare student veterans for a successful career transition?”

North Shore-LIJ’s veteran commitment is expanding to colleges across Long Island and the Greater New York City area. The Veteran College Network (VCN) was formed in 2013 by the Center for Workforce Readiness in response to universal challenges presented by the academic community. The objective of the Veteran College Network is to prepare student veterans for a career at North Shore-LIJ Health System. In collaboration with our 16 college partners, North Shore-LIJ conducts resume and career guidance workshops and hosts seminars both on college campuses and within the health system. VCN continues to be a change agent for veterans encouraging post military careers at North Shore-LIJ Health System. VCN will continue to advocate - We Welcome Veterans and Your Veteran Experience!
